When you report a bug, it helps if you include:
- Device model (e.g. iPhone 15)
- iOS version (Settings → General → About → Software Version)
- App version (shown at the bottom of the in-app Settings screen)
- What you expected to happen and what happened instead
- Whether the problem happens every time or only sometimes
Getting started
- Browse captions. Scroll the main feed to explore ideas. Swipe or tap through cards the way you normally use the app—content is loaded from the cloud so you see fresh inspiration when you’re online.
- Preview on a photo. When you pick an image from your library, you can see how a caption looks with your picture before you post elsewhere.
- Save favorites. Tap the heart or favorite action on captions you want to keep. Open your favorites list anytime to reuse them.
- Stay up to date. Install app updates from the App Store for the latest features and fixes.
Tips
- Mix and edit. Captions are starting points. Feel free to shorten, combine, or rewrite them so they match your voice and the platform you use.
- Check platform rules. Each social network has its own guidelines. You’re responsible for making sure your posts follow those rules.
- Wi‑Fi or cellular. Loading and refreshing captions needs a stable connection. If you’re on a weak network, wait a moment and try Refresh Captions again.
Common topics
- Captions not loading. Check your internet connection, then open Settings in the app and use Refresh Captions. If the issue continues, try force-quitting the app, reopening it, or restarting your device. Very rarely, our hosting provider may be undergoing maintenance—try again later.
- Empty or stale feed. Pull to refresh if the app supports it, or use Refresh Captions in Settings. Make sure Low Data Mode or a VPN isn’t blocking the app if you use those.
- Favorites. Favorites are stored on your device. Use Clear Favorites in Settings if you want to remove them all. Uninstalling the app or restoring a device without a backup may delete local data.
- Photos access. If the app asks for photo library access, you can allow or change this anytime in Settings → Magic Caption AI → Photos on your device.
- Crashes or freezing. Update to the latest app version and latest iOS. Restart the device. If it keeps happening, email us with the details listed under Contact us above.
