Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how TradeLens AI (“the App,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use the iOS application. TradeLens AI is an educational tool that reads a trading chart screenshot and returns a pattern name, key levels, confidence band, and a directional lean. It is not a broker, investment adviser, or financial product.

1. Information we process
We do not require you to create an account. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or payment details inside the App today.
Chart images you choose
The App uses the camera or your photo library only when you capture or import a chart image for analysis. We do not access your camera roll in the background or upload photos you did not select.
Optional tags you provide
If you tag an asset class (for example stocks, crypto, or forex) or a timeframe, that tag is sent with the image so the analysis can be calibrated. You can leave these on Auto.
On-device data
Scan history (including a local thumbnail), watchlist items, onboarding answers, and preferences such as beginner explanations stay on your device. We do not sync this data to our servers.
Device permissions
- Camera — to photograph a chart.
- Photo library — to import a chart screenshot you pick.
You can revoke either permission in iOS Settings. The App will still work with the remaining option when available.
2. How we use information
- To generate an educational chart read from the image you submit.
- To store recent scans and a watchlist locally so you can review them later.
- To remember onboarding and display settings on this device.
We do not sell your information. We do not use your chart images for advertising. We do not build a marketing profile from your scans.
3. Third-party processing (OpenAI)
When you run an analysis, the selected chart image and optional tags are sent to OpenAI, Inc. so a vision model can produce the read. OpenAI processes that request under its own terms and privacy policy:
Do not submit images that contain personal information you do not want processed (for example account numbers, government IDs, or unrelated photos of people). Crop to the chart when you can.
4. Apple and payments
If paid features or subscriptions are offered, purchases are processed by Apple, not by us. Apple’s handling of payment data is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. We do not receive your full payment card number.
5. Analytics and tracking
The App does not currently include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not use your data for cross-app tracking. If that changes, this policy will be updated and the App Store privacy labels will be updated as well.
6. Data retention
- On your device: History, watchlist, and preferences remain until you delete them in the App or delete the App.
- Analysis requests: Images sent to OpenAI are processed to fulfill the request. Retention by OpenAI is described in OpenAI’s policies.
Deleting the App removes locally stored history, watchlist items, and preferences from that device.
7. Children
TradeLens AI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
8. International use
The App may send analysis requests to servers outside your country (including those used by OpenAI). By using the App you understand that your submitted image and tags may be processed in those locations.
9. Your choices
- Decline camera or photos access, or revoke them later in iOS Settings.
- Avoid importing images that contain personal data.
- Clear history or watchlist in the App, or delete the App to remove local data.
- Email us at orangeappshelp@gmail.com with privacy questions or deletion requests related to anything we control.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
